The Backend (Core) team leads, designs and develops company's server platform and provides a comprehensive set of application programming interfaces (REST APIs) for all types of integration. The team also builds company's's foundation layer that includes operational MySQL databases. The technology that the team uses includes LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) and Sphinx.
The Backend team's main goal is to build a cutting-edge application that emphasizes performance, seamlessly supporting millions of transactions per day, based on high quality code that serves the entire company community.
Lead development projects
Coordinate with diverse teams within the company, such as design, product management, testing team, development teams
Write Technical Design documents and Unit Tests
Work in an results-driven, high-pressured environment

Experience in leading a team of developers – required
Proven experience programming in PHP (version 5) – at least five years' experience – must
In-depth understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles – required
Web site development experience – required
Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, XML, XSL – required
Experience working with databases – required
Linux and Apache experience – required
High scale platform and API development - required
Experience with large systems that support a large number of transactions (millions per day) – advantage
MySQL experience – significant advantage
Cshell, Perl experience – advantage
BA in computer science or equivalent degree – required
Experience with a CMS platform (Drupal, Joomla, Moodle, WordPress, Wiki, MindTouch)
Design Pattern experience – advantage
Similar experience in a large company – advantage
